Serving five counties across Northern California, Heritage Community Credit Union members enjoy competitive rates on loans and savings accounts, personalized financial guidance, and exclusive access to innovative banking products and tools.
Brief: Assist in a full rebrand across all channels, including market research and translating the new visual identity onto digital signage, print collateral, and social media.
Research: For Heritage Community Credit Union’s refresh, we combined executive interviews with an age-segmented public survey to shape an inclusive strategy. Interviews revealed Heritage’s history, values, and purpose; the survey captured perceptions and priorities across generations. We merged these insights to create a campaign that honors Heritage’s legacy while appealing to younger members’ needs for accessibility, relevance, and community impact.
Campaign: We landed on the key messaging, “Smart Banking, Real People” which celebrates the power of community-centered banking that’s both modern and trusted. By sharing real member stories, the campaign connects their long-standing local heritage with the technology members expect today. Across billboards, social media, and long-form video, each story highlights the impact and personal service that Heritage offers, showing that Credit Unions are a contemporary, people-first alternative to big banks.
Design: Heritage Community Credit Union’s refresh keeps the trusted icon while introducing a fresher, modernized look. We refined typography, updated core elements, and brightened the color palette. All assets, both print and digital, were updated while we partnered with the internal team to embed the new tone and guidelines. The full rollout was completed before the campaign launch for a seamless transition.
